Ask HN: What does Full-Stack Developer even mean?

I’ve always defined myself as a Full-stack developer because I have experience with all components of a “computing stack”, from low level debugging, plumbing, systems administration, backend development, networking and frontend Javascript. Yet these days as I’m looking for work, all full-stack offers are about client-side web development with a little bit of backend Node.js. Is my definition completely wrong? How are people with wide-ranging experience supposed to call themselves?
