CBDC’s have been gaining a lot of attention lately. Multiple countries are considering CBDC’s, including the US, the UK and many others.
Whilst they’re not decentralised, and do not provide utility to the crypto space itself, CBDC’s are fundamentally built on blockchain technology. Could this open the pathway to a wider understanding of blockchain technology in the public sector, and lead to greater crypto adoption?
The biggest problem currently to wider crypto adoption is a lack of understanding, but by introducing blockchain-based technology into official government and public use, it’s natural that this should naturally lead to a better understanding of blockchain technology generally.
