Crypto bounced back a little and people are already going crazy. I just wanted to remind you that we bounced back only around 2%, that's nothing. At the peak, the total market cap was over 3 trillion. Economies around the world are still struggling and will continue to struggle for at least a year or two.
I mean, I've just read an article on BBC saying that this UK man is struggling to fill his oil heating tank for his house due to the cost of living rising rapidly, and he's been bathing his small children in a fuc***ng kitchen sink, using hot water from a kettle mixed with cold water because he can't afford to fill his heating oil tank with oil.
People are really struggling right now. My electricity bill is 350% higher than last year. It will go up again in March. I know that most people will say it's because of Brexit and that's fine but according to economists, Brexit is only responsible for about 50% of the UK's problems right now. The rest is linked to recovery from the pandemic and war in Ukraine. People are struggling and we are talking about a first-world country here. One of the most powerful economies on the planet. And yet, nurses, train drivers, civil servants, paramedics and many more professions are either planning to strike or already striking.
But hey! The UK just announced a 'remarkable recovery' in December. Of 0.1% GDP LOL. Yeah, it's all good folks! Let's go all in into crypto. /s
No. Retail investors are not coming back anytime soon I'm afraid.
First of all, we need the war in Ukraine to stop ASAP. Or at least get it into a stalemate of some sort. Only then economies around the world will start to recover hopefully.
Also worth mentioning is that China is going through a rough patch with COVID right now, and we still don't know how this will impact supply chains. Remember how we used to wait for months for our electronics? Well, it could happen again if a lot of people get sick and supply chains are broken again.
TLDR: No, we are not in a bull run again. Calm down, DCA, relax and watch the show. We have a long way ahead of us.
